It’s no secret that mothers are spinning more plates than ever before.
Life comes at us fast, and while we wish things felt more relaxed and in control, we too often find ourselves jumping from fire to fire and wondering how on earth we’re supposed to find this elusive “joy in motherhood” everyone keeps talking about.
Are you with me?
So we surveyed our community of mothers here at Power of Moms and asked this question:
What would you like to do if you had enough time?
Here’s what they said:
- Organize and Beautify the House
Get rid of clutter (especially in the closets), get the toys under control, create a system for digital photos, implement a good paper management system, paint and decorate the house.
- Establish Better Routines
This includes routines for health, fitness, laundry, menu planning, grocery shopping, cleaning, and “everything.”
- Spend Meaningful Time with Children
Clean together, cook together, learn together, and enjoy family life.
- Advance in Career or Education
Get a job, start a business, write a book, complete long-term work projects, and/or take an online class.
- Make Time for a Hobby
Play the guitar, plant a garden, learn photography, or develop a new skill that feels exciting.
Those are reasonable, meaningful requests, right?
But here’s what’s stopping us:
- Fear and Procrastination
- Interruptions—pulled in too many directions
- Don’t Know Where to Start
- No Big Block of Time
- We’re Tired (physically and mentally)
Anyone who has ever spent a significant time with children can relate.
I think that’s why this image has been going viral:
Motherhood isn’t easy, and in order to move forward in the areas of our lives that mean the most to us, we have to learn to do things a new way.
So whether you’re already an organized person who’s just looking for new ideas–or someone really in need of an “organization overhaul,” I’m here to promote this simple idea:
Productivity within family life is possible.
A few years ago, I felt completely overwhelmed by what was on my plate as a mother of four young children working in bits and snatches to build Power of Moms. I procrastinated everything and felt like all I did each day was clean up messes, work haphazardly on a bunch of tasks I never finished, and then sit and revel in my failures once the house was quiet.
Then my Co-Director, Saren, introduced me to a best-selling book by David Allen called Getting Things Done®, and everything changed.
Within a few weeks, I’d revamped my entire system and finally got to the point where I felt present with my family. I could breathe again. I felt calm. I could enjoy my marriage and laugh with my children.
It was one of the biggest, fastest transformations I have ever experienced, and I knew I couldn’t keep the secret to myself.
Since that time, I have spent more than 1500 hours creating our Mind Organization for Moms program–based on the principles of Getting Things Done®, but tailored just for mothers whose lives center around their families.
And even though we have thousands of mothers who love this system, I see how great the need is out there, and I feel compelled to take this even further. I feel like I need to “pound the table” and say,
“This works! These ideas will change your life! This isn’t just another method that’s going to fail…like one more diet that doesn’t work. This is the best solution available to finally create that stress-free productivity we’re craving–so we can really be there for our families.”
My passion is showing mothers how to take a situation like this:
And turn it into something like this:
The philosophy is totally outlined in this free ecourse (sign-up is below)–with a variety of simple, practical ways you can take action today to decrease your stress and increase your productivity.

I think I’m a pretty organized person, but the Master the Whirlwind e-course has been a huge help with the To-Dos and the paperwork that comes into my life. We all wear so many hats, and this little course has helped me organize things in a simpler, more effective way. The most amazing thing for me is that it has taken away the constant undercurrent of stress about things that need to get done. I didn’t even realize it was there until it was gone. I wish I could explain it better, but it has been so fun and freeing to work through this system. I taught time management all last year and this has been the last piece of the puzzle for me! I love it!!
Ready to try it out? Simply enter your email below, and you’ll receive three gifts:
1. The downloadable PDF of our Master the Whirlwind eBook
2. The audio version of the eBook, so you can listen while you commute, do dishes, or fold laundry

When your eCourse is completed, we’ll send you a weekly newsletter, bringing you the very best resources from our community (if you’re not already receiving it and from which you can unsubscribe at any time).
I meet moms at each of our retreats who want to get more organized, and I am continually impressed by their motives. Some simply want to adjust their current systems so they’ll be able to think more clearly and feel more relaxed. (Great!) Others come up to me afterward and whisper, “Organization isn’t an option anymore. I’m losing it. I’m stressed out. My family life is at stake here.”
But every single mother I’ve met wants to get her life in order so she can be more fully present with her family.
That’s why Power of Moms here. That’s why we’re doing this. The time has come for you to master the whirlwind.
Once you enter your email, we’ll immediately send you the links to your free gifts
