Editor’s Note: Power of Moms is a website for mothers of all religious preferences, and our Spiritual Sundays section is a place where our authors can write about thoughts that are more spiritual in nature. If you (or someone you know) has something to add to this section to help us reach a wider audience of mothers, please send the submission to [email protected]. Thank you!
Did you know that Power of Moms’ Co-Founder April Perry has another website? She and her husband Eric run Learn Do Become, a website dedicated to helping people “architect lives of excellence.”
A key part of April and Eric’s lives of excellence is their faith in God and the power of prayer.
April recently shared a post and podcast about her experience doing a challenging ropes course and how she had to rely on the person belaying her when she thought she couldn’t go any further. She related this experience to her reliance on God every day, saying,
At those times in our lives when we are at a crossroads (or, as I would suggest, each morning before we launch into our daily task list), we can carefully plan the course we are intending to follow and then ask God, “On Belay?”
Then if our plan looks good, He, who knows everything, who will always be our support, who will never let us down, says, “Belay On.”
Head over to the post on Learn Do Become to hear April discussing this powerful metaphor and its applications to productivity and building a life of meaning.
