I (April) have this dream of sitting down every single night with the whole family, enjoying a beautiful, delicious, healthy meal that everyone enjoys. But in reality, sometimes all I can do is get something totally simple out on the counter so everyone can grab something to eat whenever they happen to make it near the kitchen. (That’s on a good day!)
Leanne Ely, founder of SavingDinner.com, taught me some beautiful tips and ideas that I know can change the way we gather to eat. I’m still in the learning process, but that’s okay! No guilt is allowed at Power of Moms…

I enjoyed this podcast. It is something I have been working on with my family. One resource that has been really helpful to me is The Food Nanny. Her website is thefoodnanny.com.
I currently utilize a lot of these strategies!! I have a 4 month old, and I’m really passionate about making sure that he has a diversified palette. BUT! My husband was NOT raised that way! He barely eats any variety of foods and is VERY picky (no beans, no eggs, no veggies, no gravy….). Any advice for how to prevent these picky eating habits from transferring to my son?
