Realizing What Really Matters

I have a hat on in this picture not just because it was cold but also because I’m bald now.

When I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer recently, I really took a step back and looked at my life. All of a sudden, the little things were what mattered most. We started making sure to notice all the little things and to find joy in everyday life. In this picture, we were finding “joy” in the snow in Prescott, Arizona. We found an elementary school with a field filled with fresh snow and we had the time of our life!! That is what we do a lot these days. We enjoy each other so much more and we do the things that bring joy!

That is what life should be all about!  Thanks for the reminder.

Yay Christa! This is a picture that perfectly defines your attitude about life in general, not just the cancer. Love you and your family!
