When I (April) met Mary Jenkins at a recent Power of Moms Retreat, I just knew we needed her voice on a podcast.
Mary could honestly be our Power of Moms “Poster Mom.” She comments on posts, participates in our webinars, and most importantly–applies what she learns on the site into her own family. (You might like to see Mary’s Deliberate Mothering Video.)
In this podcast, Mary shares her experience mothering two young children with autism. She tells us specific ways The Power of Moms has helped her create more structure in her family (and balance in her own life), talks about some of her favorite resources for children with autism, and provides encouragement for all mothers who are navigating these parenting waters.

How truly inspirational. So glad Mary has been able to find community and support through the power of moms
This was a wonderful podcast. I appreciated learning from Mary’s perspective of Mothering.
It’s so great to connect with moms who have similar issues.
Mary’s such a great example of finding things that work for her kids. I think we can all learn something though. My kids, although not autistic, thrive on schedules etc. also.
THANK YOU for this great podcast. I have a 12 year old boy who is on the autism spectrum. It’s a very lonely road… good to hear from another mom who is dealing with this every day.
I’m so grateful for podcasts like this. We have a three old recently diagnosed with autism and it is wonderful to hear from someone who can relate.
