Maybe you’ve always been alone. Or maybe you have a spouse who travels a lot.
Perhaps you physically have someone else with you, but emotionally, you are an island.
Kristine Schellhaas is the Founder of USMC Life–an online community that inspires, connects, and educates Marine Corp families. As a military wife herself, she knows what it’s like to run a family on her own, and guess what? Her strategies to thrive throughout that process are absolutely inspiring.
In this podcast with April Perry, Kristine will share creative ways we can support military families–plus tips and tricks that every mom can use to feel a little more supported, a little more connected, and a whole lot happier in our roles as mothers.

Thanks for another great podcast. Although I am fortunate to have a supportive spouse, I have sometimes felt very alone in the these first three years of mothering.
I am a stay at home Mum, we moved to a new state when our baby was four months old, without any family close by.
Although I’m not technically mothering ‘alone’, I certainly found this post relevant, helpful and entertaining!
Even though it’s a scary thought, you have inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and actively try out a number of your ‘tips for making connections’. Thank you!
