Hi there! I remember hearing this podcast before and I think Joy School sounds so great! When my oldest was preschool aged, I was part of a “preschool co-op” with 3 other former teachers (we all were elementary teachers before staying home with the kids). It was wonderful! However, it was a bit of running around and having 4 kids in 5 years, I was not able to do it with our second. One thing that was said on here was something to the effect of: you don’t want your kids to go to school only knowing you or your husband as their teacher. I definitely understand what you mean, but I disagree with that. My second child was only taught by me for preschool and did GREAT when he went to kindergarten recently. I just wanted to chime in on that. I know that you didn’t mean to make it sound like if you choose to “homeschool” preschool, it’s not a good choice, but thought I’d quickly comment.
I so appreciate so much from Power of Moms and have shared your podcasts and articles and programs with so many friends! Thank you for all you do to encourage and inspire us!
