My heart is beating fast, and I’ll tell you why.
It’s because I’m witnessing something incredible happening in the lives of hundreds of mothers in our community.
Saren and I emailed Power of Moms earlier this week with an invitation to access Todd Herman’s free videos for his 90-Day Year program. In essence, it’s CEO training for entrepreneurs, provided by a “mental game” coach who has trained Olympians, Fortune 100 leaders, and incredible people from all over the world. Originally, I didn’t think it would be totally applicable to moms.
I was dead wrong.
Here’s the thing: running a home and running a business are totally different. Homes are process oriented. Businesses are product oriented. Our children are not our employees, and firing them isn’t an option. 🙂
Yes, there are some similarities, but I had to ask myself this hard question before pressing “send”: Would mothers benefit from CEO training? Even if they never intended on starting a business or working outside the home?
I finally realized the answer was YES. After all, who is raising the next generation? Who needs to manage time and resources with wisdom and power? Who most needs support and guidance in performing the most important work on this earth?
It’s mothers.
So here’s what I did… I created a special Facebook group to apply Todd’s videos to motherhood and parenthood, and then I kind of went crazy, sending out over 150,000 emails in the last four days (to Power of Moms and LearnDoBecome) and inviting moms and dads everywhere to join in this training and take a brave step closer toward their goals.
As of this writing, more than 1,600 people have started watching the videos, and we have 620 members in the Facebook group. The discussion is powerful. The momentum is inspiring. The excitement I feel is unlike anything I’ve experienced before.
I’ve been messaging back and forth with Todd over the past couple of days–explaining how much I trust him to take care of the moms I’m bringing to him. I’ve explained that deliberate mothers are under-served, under-appeciated, and ACHING for someone to let them know that the work they are doing to raise the next generation is just as important and deserves JUST as much attention as the roles that bring in an income.
Something is unlocking… I’m getting emails saying things like, “Todd’s videos have come at just the right time–they’re an answer to my prayers.”
It’s a privilege to watch. It’s a privilege to be a part of this.

How should mothers answer, “Which of the following best describes you right now?” Or does it matter? The videos (at least the first one) seem response specific. He refers to my answer in the first 30 secs.
Hey Christina! It doesn’t really matter which one you pick, but if you aren’t deep into a business right now, I would put either dream up or start up. 🙂
