Basic Overview: This book is a selection of talks taken from the 2006 Women’s Conference held at BrighamYoungUniversity. It is written toward an audience of women from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and is a selection of talks given at that conference.
Parts I Liked Best: I love the idea of reaching your potential. This book’s theme centers around the idea of reaching your divine potential, that we are all on earth for a purpose. I love that these are talks, separate from each other, so I can read in short bursts of time, rather than all at once. I found most of the talks to be inspiring and uplifting and really couldn’t pick one favorite.
How This Book Made an Impact in My Life, Especially as a Mother (or why I just really liked it): I found myself reading through the book and marking many passages. I found so many key ideas that I wanted to implement in my life. I now sit down once a week and re-read one article and then spend the week focusing on those ideas. I sometimes get so overwhelmed with wanting to better myself that I then stop, because there is just too much to do! Each talk gives me enough to ponder and ideas to work on to sustain me until the next time I can read again.
