Ready for your own personal Power of Moms Retreat?

Thanks to our video training package, you can now “attend” a Retreat right in front of your computer – no travel or babysitters necessary.

While our in-person Retreats are well worth the cost, they can run upwards of $130 (not including babysitting, travel, hotel, etc.).  We want to make our Retreats accessible to ALL moms so we’ve priced this Virtual Retreat package at just $97.

There are two parts to this training package, covering all the subjects we typically address at Retreats:

1. Mommy is a Person Video Training

It was like these videos were specifically tailored just for me! I was so excited about getting into these videos that I started watching without getting my kids settled – so my girls were running around and being a bit crazy while I tried to watch.  Then I came to the section about quiet time and I realized I’d better pause it and go and put my two-year-old down for her nap plus get my older daughter settled with some activities. Before long, my four-year-old started bugging me to do this or that. I paused the video and shared with her what I’d just learned – that I am a person and that people need a little time to themselves. I calmly explained that she’d had her lunch and I’d set her up with some quiet activities to be doing during quiet time and I explained that it was important that we both have some “me time” because we’re both people and quiet time is something important that people need. I even had her repeat to me “mommy is a person.” She totally got it. WOW WOW WOW.
On the section on being overloaded, I wrote down 10 things that apply to me.  At first, I was just thinking “oh I am not overloaded at all – I have NOTHING that I have to be running around to do because my girls are not in school yet.” BUT WOW, I realized I AM overloaded in the areas of discontent and accessibility and choices. That was a big eye-opener. I realized I’m way overloaded  I now have an action plan to really reduce the stress in my life.
My mom gifted the videos to me and this has been the best gift I have ever received.

It has been so empowering to remember that “mummy is a person” and to realize it’s OK for me to have  off/on duty time. Funny from yesterday: After I’d finished the hugs, kisses, happies, prayer, songs, more hugs and kisses and water and toilet with my 5-year-old, she called out from her room, “Mum I have a question!” My husband, who’s totally on-board with all this now that I’ve explained it all to him, responded with, “Sorry, Mummy is off duty but you can leave a message with me.” I think they’re getting it!

I’m so glad I spent the time watching the Mommy is a Person training this past weekend.  I have felt a real shift in my attitude already this week. I have scheduled in some very important things I need to do for myself, my spirituality and for my family every day/week and I am feeling very positive about the changes it will bring to my family. Its hard being a Mother but the training has provided me with a new focus, a new approach and I am now excited for the future and I am finding much more joy in every day.

Shape the Future of your Family

2. Family Systems Builder Program

Ready to chart a course towards the future you really want for your children?

All successful institutions (countries, companies, and yep, families too) rely on three basic systems – a legal system (laws, consequences, discipline), an economic system (who does what and who gets what), and a culture (traditions, shared history and identity).

Our Family Systems Builder Program offers three one-hour training sessions full of tried-and-true methods and ideas–plus worksheets and exercises that will help you create family systems tailored to YOUR family’s needs.

  • Building Your Family Legal System (helping children WANT to behave the way you want them to behave by establishing a positive and loving environment with clear and consistent laws and consequences)
  • Building Your Family Economic System (teaching your children about work and money through building a micro-economy in your home that mirrors real-world economic principles and helps your children learn the importance of work and the value of money)
  • Building Your Family Culture (creating strong family identity and culture that can trump peer culture and offer your children the sense of belonging and fun they crave

Our Family Systems training is rooted in principles from books written by NYTimes Bestselling Authors, Richard and Linda Eyre.

What are people saying about the Family Systems Training?

Before finding the Family Systems training, I felt like my mothering had spiralled downwards to a place where I never thought it would be. I was snappy, impatient and constantly saying those two dreaded words “hurry up” all day long. I found myself spending very little quality time with my children. I cried on my own a lot. I cried to my husband a lot. I felt like I was drowning and just getting through each day doing the bare minimum as a mother…but participating in the Family Systems training helped me realise that while there’s a lot to work on, I am not completely off the rails and I can bring this back on track and reach the desired destination for my family. The new systems are really paying off! We sat down as a family and created a simple list of family rules with clear consequences as suggested – and this is working so much better than the never-ending list of rules we had come up with over time! I am learning to manage my responses to our children’s negative behaviour. We have introduced the “repenting bench” and have the kids who are having issues with each other hold hands while they are sitting there (I love that part because it makes them smile for a split second despite being so angry at one another). The “Gunny Bag” has been introduced to our family and he comes out when the children have not done their “pick up 10″ or “zones.”  We are also reassessing our family traditions and “I love you rituals” and thinking about what will be the most important memories for our children as they grow up. Thank you so much for the help, ideas, inspiration and motivation I needed!

– Megan Yates

I just want to thank you both with all of my heart for the wonderful training.  I learned SO MUCH!  It literally reminded me that I can have goals, make changes and have the family of my dreams.  I had completely forgotten that.  I was just in survival mode.  I am now striving to take baby steps to make things better in my home now and build a future for my family that will be beautiful.  I know I can do it!

– Suzy Gallup

These trainings helped us realize that we’re doing a lot of things right – and that was so affirming. We loved the chance to hear so many new ideas and discuss together what we really want to teach our children and what methods will best lead us to our end goals. Thank you so much!
