Power of Moms Retreats
Need a break? Could your perspective and energy levels use a boost? If you're like just about any other mom in the world, you'll say a big "yes" to both of these questions.
Power of Moms Retreats bring small groups of mothers together for a weekend to learn, share, reflect, relax and come away empowered and rejuvenated.
There are good resources on the web and some conferences that offer mothers perspective and training, but a Power of Moms Retreat offers a truly unique experience. Part "professional development" in the field of motherhood and part slumber party, Power of Moms Retreats typically entail a weekend get-away where a small group of moms (8-16) step away from their regular lives to do some self-assessment, learn from each other and head home empowered with ideas, goals and a lasting network of support.
Just as members of most professions need a chance to learn from each other at their annual conventions and conferences, moms need a chance to "network" with other moms and share their experiences plus opportunities to gain new ideas from professional trainers on such subjects as:
- Getting Things Done: Organizing our Time and Thoughts
- Three Steps to a Strong Family: Family Rules, Family Economy, Family Traditions
- Taking Care of the Person Inside the Mom
- Effective Parenting Partnerships with Our Husbands
We offer two ways for you to participate in an inspiring and rejuvenating Power of Moms Retreat:
- You partner with The Power of Moms to put on a Retreat. As a "Retreat Organizer," you work with The Power of Moms to put together a Retreat in your community. You find the place (a cabin or vacation home works well) and the participants (8-16 moms is optimal) and help with logistics (with lots of help and instructions from us) and we send our experienced trainers to present high-quality, interactive and fun workshops. After helping organize a Retreat, Retreat Organizers can choose to become certified as "Retreat Leaders" and can then continue to organize and also conduct Retreats. Retreat Organizers and Leaders can provide wonderful opportunities for mothers while making a little extra money. To find out more, contact us.
- You can come as an attendee to a Retreat that someone else has organized (some Retreats are open to the public, others are just open to a specific group put together by the Retreat Organizer). If there happens to be a Retreat near you, this is the easiest way to participate in a Retreat. The price to attend a Retreat usually ranges from $100-$250 for the weekend (includes training, lodging and meals but not transportation). To find out more, contact us.
