Submission Guidelines

We are looking for growth-producing, meaningful articles that exemplify specific aspects of mothering and inspire mothers to feel more excited and happy about the work they do.  We accept optimistic, thoughtful submissions—our focus is more on encouraging moms to share insights and less on insisting the articles are "perfect."

The articles featured on this site will be different than what you will find on "typical" mom websites.  We will not be focusing on discipline, cooking, exercise, cleaning, home decor, creative children's activities, or controversial issues.  Each article we select will help us, as mothers, to think positively about our homes and families.

If you would like further clarification, please read our "Mission" page and the articles currently featured on this site.  Our hope is that this website will become a tool to strengthen mothers and remind them that they are doing a wonderful job!

Your article does not have to be professionally written, but please do a basic spelling and grammar check before submission.  We do not have a minimum or maximum word count, but we anticipate that the average article will have approximately 1,000 words.

Each article we accept will go through a simple editorial process.  You may be contacted to make some revisions before the article is posted.  We will contact you regarding your submission within four to six weeks (unless the stomach flu strikes our homes--then it might be a bit longer).  Because we are a small organization of volunteers, we do not pay our contributors, but if you have your own website and would like to include it with your submission, we can add it on to your byline.
