Guide to Site Content
We are so glad you are here with us! Below is a brief description of what you will find on this site:
Resources:
(1) Articles: These are uplifting thoughts and ideas from your fellow mothers that are intended to teach useful principles regarding motherhood. We accept optimistic, thoughtful submissions from a variety of mothers—our focus is more on encouraging moms to think and write and less on insisting the articles are “perfect.” Please read, enjoy, and consider submitting your own article to us!
(2) Book Abstracts: Many books are written for mothers, and many books have inspiring content, but with the limited time mothers have to read, we need to choose the best. Our book abstracts cover a variety of topics and genres and will provide you with a brief summary of each book and an explanation about how the book strengthens the mothers. Have you read any good books lately?
(3) Mom’s Journal: This is the place where mothers can share their special moments and read why others consider the experience of motherhood to be a treasure. Many people think mothering is all work and chaos because they do not hear about the meaningful moments. This section of the website reminds us why being a good mother is worth our best energy.
(4) Perspectives (Wisdom from Mom): All of us have questions about motherhood, and sometimes it is difficult not to feel lost and insane with all the demands of a family. This question and answer section will allow us to interview each other and provide advice regarding how healthy moms think. We will not include information about motherhood “duties,” such as keeping your backseat free of French fries—we will focus on what is going on inside of our multi-tasking brains and learn how to handle frustration, guilt, anxiety, and all of the other things that cloud our perspectives.
Unlock Your Power:
(1) E-Certificate of Appreciation: Mothers rarely get the appreciation they need and deserve. From this section of the website, you can send a special e-certificate to a mother you admire.
(2) Monthly Challenge: Sometimes we think that because we are “confined” by our children and responsibilities, we are not able to impact the world around us. However, if several thousand mothers each make one small effort to reach out to others, we would help strengthen the world. Take our challenge for this month, report on the good results, and help us to issue more meaningful challenges.
(3) Monthly Value: Once the housework, employment obligations, errands, and activities are completed, it is not unusual for mom to run out of steam. We sometimes look back and wonder what we have actually taught our children in the process of “raising” them. Each month, we will present a fundamental value as our focus and provide a few suggestions for teaching it to your children--this section is courtesy of www.valuesparenting.org. We invite feedback from you to let us know what benefits resulted from your experience, and we welcome suggestions for future value-teaching.
(4) Yearly Project: We have chosen a service project to work on this year called "Moms Helping Moms." We will be encouraging mothers to assemble care packages for the mothers of children who are in the hospital. This is a service project that can be done anytime throughout the year, it can be done with one mother or several mothers, and the children can participate, too! We hope you will join us.

(3) Goal-Setting Questionnaire (coming soon): We would like to devote a portion of this site to helping mothers identify and work toward their goals. Please let us know what you would look for in such a tutorial, and help us to develop an online goal-setting class that is tailored to your needs.
