Truly, motherhood is the pinnacle of womanhood. The word “mother” by traditional definition denotes a woman who has children, but the older I get and the more motherly characteristics I observe and try to acquire and develop, the more I see that every woman, whether married, unmarried, with children or not, if she chooses, is a mother.

In the world of mothering, sometimes losing "everything" can mean gaining a whole lot more. 

Do you sometimes wonder if you're "Mother of the Year" material? Well guess what -- you are!

While some women may bask in primetime lights or receive accolades from the world around them, each of us has our own cheering section--a group of very important people whose lives simply wouldn't be the same without us. In their lives we play a starring role: Mother. 

Can you list 10 things that bother you about your life?  It took me about 30 seconds to compile my list, but what I DID with that list has changed my perspective altogether.

We all have our own love language -- even children. Sometimes, we just have to open our eyes to see it.

This is a reflective piece which describes the myriad of moments when our children teach us that they are the ones with the wisdom and strength and that our job as mothers is to remind them of  it.
