Emilee is mom to five children, ages 4 to 15. She loves traveling, reading, writing and has a passion for learning. Emilee married the love of her life over 17 years ago. They live on their family farm in rural Idaho. Every day (for at least a moment!) she is grateful to her generous husband for allowing her to be a stay-at-home-mom and a part-time student. Emilee is working to complete her degree in Marriage and Family Studies in hopes of becoming a counselor someday. Her dream is to share the tools and information she is gaining in her education with mothers from every walk of life. Emilee spends each day striving for simplicity, joy, and balance. She keeps a Chinese fortune in her wallet that says "Never let an opportunity pass you by".
Nine years ago I found myself in the intensive care unit of our local hospital holding my very sick seven-month-old baby boy. We had checked into the emergency room four days earlier when I realized my baby was having difficulty breathing.
