- The Power of Sharing Ideas: What Works
A1. Realize that you are going to have to invest a lot of energy and time into your child during these very difficult times, but you will get through them! Remind yourself that it will not always be that hard.
A2. Think about how fortunate your children are to have a mother who will love them and spend time with them. While you are comforting your child, say to yourself, "I am so glad that she/he does not have to go through this alone."
A3. Think about and plan how you will get a nap in during the next day. Whether you get help from your spouse, a friend, or a babysitter, or whether you figure out a way for you and your child(ren) to nap at the same time, visualizing your next break can give you the strength to get through tough nights.
A4. Turn on music you love, sing, and do not think about how tired or frustrated you are.
