A1. Get enough sleep. When you feel like a human, you can handle things.
A2. Exercise. You will have more energy and endorphins, and daily challenges will not seem so overwhelming.
A3. Sometimes it just takes some practice. Remind yourself that your children are still learning and growing (just as you are), and you have the choice of whether or not you will raise your voice, let little things bother you, or let another person's actions "ruffle your feathers." If you do lose your patience, start trying again immediately. You are only human--don't be too hard on yourself (or on your children).

I find that it's helpful going into each day PLANNING that there are going to be some really hard moments that will drive me crazy - it's bound to happen. Somehow, when everyone's fighting or needing something at the same time and I think "Oh yeah, here it is - I knew a moment like this would come up today but that's OK, it'll seem better in a minute," things seem better. Then I can just take a deep breath and more calmly deal with the issue at hand.
