The Parts I Liked Best:
(1) Sink Reflections is SO DO-ABLE and empowering!
(2) I love the concepts of Morning and Evening Routines, the Basic Weekly Plan, and the Zone Cleaning.
(3) I also like the chapters which addressed taking care of yourself, getting rid of clutter (so invigorating), and the concept that housework done incorrectly still blesses my family (even if I didn’t have time to finish the job, at least I started and got some small corner of my house tidy).
How this Book Made an Impact in My Life:
As the mother of three small children, I used to waste time and energy moping that despite my desire to maintain a clean and orderly home, I would never have four hours to clean the entire house. Using the 15-minute-a-day approach has brought amazing results! My home is never immaculate, but now it is always pretty clean. Who new 15 minutes a day could make such a big difference? I no longer feel like a martyr while cleaning but instead enjoy my time “home blessing.” The FlyLady has taught me how to use Morning and Evening Routines, a Basic Weekly Plan, and Zone Cleaning to bring peace and order to my home and life.
I now take responsibility for my home and have achieved an amazing sense of order… which frees up the majority of my time to nurture and enjoy my family.
