Beverly Nelson was recently named California Mother of the Year 2012 by American Mothers Inc. She raised eight children and housed three teen-aged foreign exchange students. That’s a lot of teenagers! Beverly calls them “baby adults” and in this podcast, she and Caryn Payzant discuss strategies for teaching teenagers to be respectful and responsible. (Her secret? Start early!) She also speaks about the importance of maintaining patience, especially in communication, as teenagers learn the skills of adulthood.
