Brighten a friend’s day by sending an anonymous note of encouragement to a mom who is having a rough time. Let her know that you admire her for her great qualities (list them!) and give her some words of encouragement. If you’re in a position to do so, include a gift card to a store where she can buy something for herself–or include a little gift in the envelope. Chances are, she could use a pick-me-up.

I am the mother of three children and expecting number four in October. I received my bachelor's degree in nursing. I work a few hours a week (in the evenings) for a home health company as an RN. Some of my favorite activities are engaging in one-on-one time with my kids, cooking, working outside, lounging in the sunshine, and making lists. I also thrive on date nights, vacations, and new experiences with my husband and children. Being a mom is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. Sometimes the constancy of cleaning, cooking, disciplining, and juggling schedules can become hard to manage but the simple joyful moments every day, coupled with the overwhelming feeling of love I have for my children, gets me through the rough patches. I LOVE being a mom!

I did this challenge via mail. I sent a card to another mother whom I knew was having a hard time & I just told her that I admired her ability to be so patient amist all that was going on in her life & her family. I like to also write inspiring gospel quotes or scriptures at the end of my cards.
